Wells Fargo Headquarters

Wells Fargo, the famous bank with about 150 years of history behinds its name sets the benchmark for other financial institutions with its varying clientele and options in the financial industry. With the Wells Fargo headquarters still based in San Francisco, they are continuing to cling to the ways of the West that won them so many loyal customers in the first place. Today they operate through a number of different branches across the nation and consist of not only a bank, but a home loans store, insurance division and more. They offer loyal and dedicated service, excellent rates and policies, and are hard to be topped when it comes to experience in the various financial sectors that they offer.

The bank was started by the collaboration of Henry Wells and William Fargo who wanted to create a quality express postal service across the West during the Gold Rush years. The popularity of this was expanded due to the taking over of the Pony Express and the development of the Overland Mail Express company. Eventually, they settled into banking and in 1905, the first Wells Fargo headquarters was set up in San Francisco.

The Wells Fargo and Co group does however say that they are decentralized and that each location has a Wells Fargo headquarters that it operates from. With about 80 different businesses under the name, Wells Fargo has about $1.3 trillion assets and employs more than 281 thousand people, called team members. They are currently on the Forbes list as one of the top 400 companies in America, and are the 17th most profitable company in the United States of America. These are some of the many accolades achieved and have prospered throughout history in the financial arena with many innovations, including the introduction of ATM’s, and the development of online banking in the 1980’s. They not only offer a comprehensive list of financial solutions to personal clients, but also offer small business banking, and corporate banking including loans, insurance, merchant accounts, the processing of employee retirement funds, online invoicing, direct pay options, and much more.
